Anyone have an extra $450...

Just kidding! We are just so excited about the world series! I bit off all my fingernails during the game last night! For those of you who don't know baseball, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays beat the stupid RedSox 3-1 last night in game 7! It was so intense since the RedSox have a short history of coming back after being down in a series. We were also thrilled that the Phillies beat the Dodgers in their series. Especially since Manny Ramirez is so annoying. It will be much more pleasant not to have to look at his nasty dreadlocks during the world series. Now we can't wait to see the Devil Rays play the Phillies in the world series. We are torn on who to cheer for because the Devil Rays have never won a world series. And they were pretty much the worst team in baseball last year. But Kasey is on a mission in Philadelphia so we are partial to them too. We are only about 3 or 4 hours from Philadelphia, so if we were rich we would try to go to one of the games. The minimum price at auction is $450, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are sold out now or if the cheapest ticket is more than $1000. I want to be there so bad that I have considered starving my family for a couple of months to pay for it. I love October!!!!

"Stupid Red Sox"? I am personally offended by that remark, even though I didn't watch even 1 baseball game this season. I'm sure I'll watch a few of the World Series games though.

So, where were the Yankees this season? Oh, right, they STINK! (Really, though, I have no idea what I'm talking about. They could have been in the playoffs for all I know.)

Ok, Ok, a sincere apology (if I am capable of being sincere) is in order for my favorite Bostonian! Shelly! I knew I was risking it since I have seen Mack in his cute Red Sox onesie! BELIEVE ME you would barf if you watched Mannie Ramirez and his gross hair, or Youklis get ready to bat (I will find a clip of that and send it to you), or Jacoby who looks exactly like Julianna Margalise (sp). They are annoying, but they did win the world series, so they are obviously a good team. I don't like them, but I understand loyalty! Unfortunately the Yankees were not in the post season this year. They lost Joe Torre to the Dodgers, so who knows if they can get their team back on top. As far as my loyalty goes, I am usually pretty flakey. Love the Yankees because Clay does, but don't like them when they are here playing the Orioles. I guess you could say that I love the Orioles since they are close and I love the Nationals since they are close. They are in different leagues, so I never have to choose. When we move, I don't know where my loyalty will be. I hope to live near a pro team because the minor league is not even close. I mean, come on...the "Fiftyones!?"
I guess I would have to watch a team and if the players get cocky, then I will get pretty annoyed and make the whole team pay for it.
SOrry, I know that was way too long of a response, but I love talking baseball and there is no one other than Clay and dad to talk about it with. So since it is my blog-I really took advantage.

Totally off the subject, but just an observation I've made... Whenever someone has the "Live Traffic Feed" on their blog, I think I show up as Blairstown, New Jersey. Should I be concerned? Weird.

Allison....you just make me laugh. Oh how I miss you!!! I need to start praying that you'll be accepted to UNLV's dental school, so we can get you back here. I just had a memory of Clay. I remember him telling Emmet he saw him driving down Van Wagenen, driving like a "bat out of hell." Fun memories! Hope we can get you guys back out here to make more!

Sorry, not a baseball fan. But that is an utterly amazing picture of a tree at the top of your blog! Is that what fall really looks like in places that actually have fall? It's still stinking 90 degrees here! :)
