Ryan started his PEP preschool program today. It was very exciting. It still hasn't hit me yet that I don't have him home with me. I went to the school for a meeting and looked in on him. I also got to see Leah enjoying PE. Ryan wasn't nervous at all. When the bus showed up, he got on with his sister with no trouble. Leah is a great big sister and I know that she helped out a lot.
I am so happy that Leah got permission to ride Ryan's bus.
The class only has 6 boys right now, so I know he will make a lot of progress.
The night before our campout, we had a blast at the Nationals vs Phillies game in DC. The Nats won 8-7. It got pretty intense in the 9th inning because the Phillies got 5 of their runs in that inning. It was so fun and I can't wait to go again.

PEP is a program for children with developmental delays. The delays vary. In Ryan's case, his language skills are delayed and that is how he qualified for these benefits. He will go to preschool where he will get extra help with his language skills as well as the regular preschool curriculum. Every state has it, but it is probably called different names in other areas.
By the way, it is held at the local schools. So Ryan goes to the same school that Leah does, but he comes home at 11:30 and she stays all day.
From what you've said about him being so shy, I wonder what his reaction was when he and Leah had to split up once they got to the school. I remember loving it when my little brothers were shy and clingy to me when Mom wasn't around.
Your blog is so cute! You do such an awesome job. I am floored at how big Leah is! She was just a little baby when I last saw her! Dalin is a little man now! Funny how you just expect them to be the same age they were last time you saw them! Are you guys still in the military? If I remember right, you guys weren't AF right? It was Marine's or something, wasn't it? Each of your kids look so different! So sweet!

Yes we are still in the Navy. We were among a few LDS Navy guys in the Dental tech program. The Belmonts and Johnstones were in the ward too and are not in the military anymore. We are most likely going to make a career of it.

I remember having your twins in nursery. They are tall! Still cute!
We're still in ... only 5 years left until retirement! Richard is in Korea on remote for a year. He's been there 6 mo and I plan on visiting for 10 days next month. We're at Hill AFB in Utah. I was ready to move, but our follow-on is for back here. It was better than the other options they gave us. Medical-wise, staying in has more than paid for itself!! I'll miss the military life when he retires!
that is so cute. I bet he felt so grown up. Leah looks like she'd be a huge help. She looks like a proud, incharge sister. I love it!!

How is Ryan liking his PEP program? Have you noticed any significant changes? I like your blog! We should get together and have Wyatt & Ryan play on the day that he is home....I think you said it was Mondays, right?
